Our strategic Business Plan and purpose-built facilities feature many innovations to enhance the sustainability of our business.

Our 33,000m² Head Office facility features a modern, environmentally friendly two-story office building, maintenance workshop, fuelling and wash bays, safari shed and parking for 160 buses & 150 cars. This facility is powered by solar energy to minimise our impact on the environment and features an onsite, secondary power supply for any unplanned power disruptions, ensuring all business and maintenance activities can continue.

During the planning and design phase of our Head Office, we made a conscious decisions to ensure we reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible incorporating environmentally friendly features:

  • Solar energy panels
  • Time delay lighting
  • Recycle & rainwater systems
  • Electric onsite maintenance vehicles
  • Paperless training procedures
  • Paperless driver rostering
  • Electric, water efficient mobile vehicle washing units
  • AdBlue for lower vehicle emissions

We value sustainable transport and are committed to minimising our impacts on the environment. Our fleet procurement strategy incorporates actively upgrading fleet with high-ranking fuel efficiency to reduce diesel consumption in addition to reducing carbon and exhaust emissions. KBL will continue this trajectory and help drive the shift, as we move towards a greener business mode. 

To enhance the value we offer our clients, we believe in investing back into the company by providing 24 hour client support,  delivering comprehensive employee training programs, maintaining a young fleet with the latest technology and continuing to develop our custom, all purpose-built, operations software to further assist our ground and driving teams.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Sustainability Kangaroo Bus Lines

Kangaroo Bus Lines supports local businesses through the selection of locally sourced products and services required for our operation. This includes the procurement of catering services for our educational tours, bus fit outs and tyres, office supplies, fleet and more. Over 80% of our fleet are procured through a local Australian owned bus manufacture, Denning Manufacturing Pty Ltd, located in Acacia Ridge QLD 4110.

We strive to support local communities and not-for-profit organisations where possible. This is demonstrated by our continual sponsorship of local sporting organisations, school fundraising, community fete events, and providing RTO support services. The TOOMOO is an annual 220km cycling event from Toowoomba to Mooloolaba which supports a variety of not-for profit organisations such as Sunshine Coast Riding for the Disabled and Steps Pathways. KBL has provided in-kind sponsorship to this charity for the past five years and will continue to support this important event.

Kangaroo Bus Lines has also been donating funds raised by the provision of shuttle services for the Diamantina Shire Council at the annual Birdsville Races for over seven years. These funds are donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service in support of their emergency medical and primary health care services to anyone who lives, works or travels in rural and remote Australia.

We’ve been traveling with Kangaroo Bus Lines for our biennial Instrumental Music tours for many years. This year we traveled to Hervey Bay, and the greater Cooloola Coast area. Our students and staff enjoyed all aspects of our tour. ! Most importantly, our drivers and tour managers were always on call, helpful, flexible and positive throughout the entire experience while dealing with all the complications a large group (90 students) of musicians can entail.
