Wiss House & Emporium

Come with us today as we travel to the beautiful Scenic Rim and visit what was once the jewel in the crown of the Wiss Family Empire.

Built in the late 1800’s, for German immigrants, Wiss Cottage sits next to the impressive establishment of Wiss Emporium, both of which are listed on the National Trust of Qld. In its hey-day, the Wiss Emporium sold everything from delicate lace to milking machines and tractors and offered substantial credit to their patrons, doing much to assist the local farmers of the area.

Lunch will be served, country-style, at The Royal Hotel before a walk through the rose gardens at Barton’s Rose Farm. Potted roses for sale here year round.
