Spring Bluff Railway & Gardens

Spring Bluff Railway Station today is a heritage listed site but 150 years ago it was the stopping point between the Brisbane and Toowoomba rail stations and played a key role in the development of the Toowoomba region.

Back in 1914, Qld Railways launched a garden competition to encourage railway staff to beautify their stations and today Spring Bluff plays a key role in Toowoomba’s Carnival of Flowers competition. Come with us today and we visit the gardens in preparation for this iconic event. The Garden Caretaker has kindly offered to show us around his grounds. Lunch will be served at friendly Meringandan before our return journey.
