Pumpkin Scones in the Outback

With history dating back to the late 1800s, The South Burnett Region offers a rich tapestry of our past.

This morning we head north to Bjelke-Petersen country and visit Bethany Cottages. Pumpkin scones are the order of the day with a tour of the homestead and property by family descendants of Flo & Joh. Continuing north to Wondai, we’ll visit the Regional Timber
Museum. The life-size sculptures and displays capture the spirit of the timber logging in the early 1900s.

Lunch will be served at the historic Australian Hotel in the heart of Murgon with a stop-over at the Wondai Heritage Centre before heading home.
