Come with us today as with visit the Laidley Pioneer Village, situated south of the historic town of Laidley in the original resting paddock used by the teamsters for the Cobb & Co horses. The village recreates a picture of Queensland rural life in the early 1800’s and comprises the old gaol, post office, butcher shop, school house, DesJardin’s cottage, blacksmith yard and church. Then sit back and enjoy the scenery as we travel further south to Rathdowney and lunch at Rathlogan Olive Grove in the foothills of Mt Barney. Our return journey sees us taking in a pit stop at Yatla Pies so bring your shopping bags if you’d like to stock up.
